PREGNANCY, MOTHER & BABY AND POSTNATAL YOGA
Prenatal yoga is a style designed for the physical and emotional needs of Mums-to-be. It is a wonderful way to stay active during your pregnancy and is complementary to your existing yoga practice, if you have one. These classes help relieve any pregnancy related aches and pains and encourage bonding with your baby bump, preparing you for an active labour and birth. As well as yoga postures, you will learn useful birthing positions, helpful breathing meditations, visualisations and pelvic floor exercises. These classes will help you stay comfortable, balanced and calm throughout pregnancy and give you tools to feel prepared, empowered and positive for birth and motherhood.
As well as experienced and welcoming teachers, we have a large baby friendly cafe area at our Beethoven St centre with plenty of space for buggies where you can meet friends and relax before or after class. We also have two beautiful treatment rooms with therapists offering pregnancy, post partum and nutritional health therapies as well as many different forms of massage and Ayurvedic treatments.
PLANNING YOUR SCHEDULE
PUBLIC CLASS ATTENDANCE RECORD
Students are required to attend and sign off 2 x 60 minute (min) public classes/week during term times throughout the duration of the course with course-approved teachers.
A TYPICAL SESSION WILL INCLUDE
A theoretical component in lecture or discussion format following the curriculum
A practical component developing students’ practice and understanding the architecture of the postures and techniques
Some sessions will vary from this format as we take more time to focus on one aspect of the course.
