On these four week beginners courses, your instructor will teach the foundations of yoga practice and help you progress at your own pace. You will learn the basics under careful guidance, preparing you to go on and safely practice.
Take this course to experience what yoga can do for you! All the equipment you might need will be provided including yoga mats, though feel free to bring along your own if you prefer.
These courses are suitable for all those new to yoga, unless you have a serious medical condition, have had recent major surgery, or are pregnant. If you are unsure whether or not to attend, please ask us for guidance.
BUT I CAN’T EVEN TOUCH MY TOES!
Yoga is for everyone, you don’t have to be flexible, strong or fit to get involved and feel the benefit.
Everyone on our Total Beginners courses will be new to yoga, so while you may find a few things unusual or unfamiliar, you won’t be alone!

I HAVE AN INJURY, CAN I STILL DO YOGA?
Yoga can be practised safely by people with many forms of injury or chronic condition. In fact, a lot of people with chronic muscular conditions find that practising yoga gives them relief from pain and teaches them how to make their body healthier.
Always let your teacher know at the beginning of a class if you have an injury, you’re pregnant or have an ongoing condition.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING ALONG AND WEAR?
All the equipment you might need will be provided including yoga mats, though feel free to bring along your own if you prefer.
You should wear comfortable but close-fitting clothes that don’t restrict your movement; shorts or leggings and a vest or T-shirt are ideal. You’ll do all your classes in bare feet.
